Description
A framed maritime oil painting on canvas depicting a seascape filled with interest. The painting was executed in the early 1900s and captures the transition from sail to steam-powered ships. There are also fishermen at work, seabirds in flight and dramatic sky to enjoy. A lovely, well executed painting. It’s either an unsigned work – or the signature is possibly hidden.
Condition of canvas is very good – no tears or overpaint. A few losses of gilt paint on the frame.
Measures approx 60cm x 43cm.
