Description
Superb antique Welsh stick chair dating from the late 18th or early 19th century. Traces of original rusty red paint, particularly noticeable on the underside. Low form to keep below the smoke as much as possible in old cottages. It retains the original spindles, legs and seat with honest repairs made throughout its long life.
In good antique condition. Wear associated with age and usage. Please see photos.
Stands 100cm tall with a seat height of 33cm.
