Description
Superb, large, framed & glazed sampler of a map of Great Britain dated 1829. Beautifully worked with lovely detail – unusual to have towns & cities and not just the county names. The mahogany frame is probably original from the period, later oval-shaped card mount.
Good antique condition. Textile free of tears & stains. Light, even fading. Small areas of cracking & veneer loss to upper section of frame. Please see photos.
Measures 72cm x 65cm.
